Diesel power plants are intended for emergency and backup power supply and used in any industries, as well as in the housing and utility and agricultural sector. DPPs can be used as primary sources of electric power in remote and hard-to reach regions (settlements of the Far North), as well as at initial phases of industrial facilities development (oil and gas fields, construction sites of industrial projects).
Gas engine power plants are used as primary sources of electric power for customers’ facilities. They can operate both in the isolated (island) mode or parallel to the power grid. Main advantages of gas engine power plants:
KAMSS Group carries on cooperation with Siemens and its structural division Dresser-Rand in the field of construction of power generating facilities on the basis of gas turbines.
Dresser-Rand’s KG2 gas turbines with a single unit capacity of 1.6 to 2.0 MW are one of most undemanding gas turbines in terms of gas fuel quality and can be operated on heavy oils such as conditioned crude oil. The turbines can also run on associated gas with minimum requirements to treatment and with a hydrogen sulfide content up to 0.5 mg/m3.
The use of Siemens SGT industrial gas turbines with a power rating of 5 to 57 MW is an optimal solution for the construction of power parks of infrastructure projects where maximum effectiveness, high package efficiency, minimum operating costs and high reliability are required.
KAMSS Group can offer the mentioned turbine generators in containerized and modular building designs.
The construction documentation for the container and building are developed with the support of turbine generator manufacturers—Siemens and Dresser-Rand.
The primary goal of customers when constructing autonomous energy complexes is to provide a short payback period and maximum efficiency of the project within the entire life cycle.
This is achieved by selecting the generator sets having the best efficiency and operating cost parameters.
The mandatory prerequisites for achieving the maximum economic results include:
In some instances, when having the Specifications for grid parallel operation approved is impossible or the costs of implementing the Specifications question economic feasibility of the project, the only option left is the isolated mode of power plant operation. In such a case it is critical not only to correctly determine the total installed power of the power plant on the basis of load curves, but the mode of operation and single-unit capacity as well. All these issues are to be solved comprehensively and accounted for in the capital expenses and future operating costs. A comprehensive approach will ensure optimal generation conditions for both electric energy and heat.
KAMSS Group has the required competencies and experience in addressing the issues of technical and economic efficiency of power generation facilities on a comprehensive basis.
KAMSS implements energy complex construction projects under the EPC model.
EPC construction is the form of a unified system of responsibilities in respect of a project that includes all work stages. Such an approach provides for lower construction expenses and shorter periods of energy facilities erection due an optimal mode of design and construction processes. This results in timely detection and elimination of deficiencies, prompt adjustment of solutions.
Our advantages:
Successful and rational design of power generating facilities is the basis of quality construction, commissioning and further operation. KAMSS Group is focused on the final result in the course of its work and ensures the full support for all project implementation stages.
During design activities, we ensure:
Within the framework of EPC projects, KAMSS Group ensures equipment selection in strict compliance with the customer’s specifications, specifics of the project to be implemented, best technical and economic features of the entire range of equipment used during the construction project.
We ensure equipment logistics right up to the facility by all modes of transport: rail, motor, water, and air.
We carry on cooperation with the leading international and domestic manufacturers of electrical engineering, heat engineering, and other equipment.
The background of KAMSS Group includes the construction of large-scale infrastructure facilities and energy complexes.
Structural subdivisions of KAMSS Group are staffed with skilled professionals providing support and implementation of construction and installation activities beginning with earthwork operations and ending with support and actual facility handover to regulatory authorities and the customer.
The Company has the full range of permits, including all necessary SRO certificates.
Expert setup and commissioning of the facility is the finishing touch of the professional work of the team of KAMSS experts.
